Let’s Get Started
Your floors do more than reflect your style and taste, they set the stage for everything else in your home. So deciding which wood floor is right for you can be a daunting task. Do you go with a red oak with its warm glow and coarse grain or a maple with a fine grain that becomes a more elegant complement? And beyond the good looks, a wood floor has to keep up with your busy lifestyle. The truth is different woods require varying degrees of maintenance and will give you a range of comfort and noise absorption. You’ll want to have all the information you need before you make your choices.
We’ll partner with you to both explain and guide you through so many options. We understand that installing a floor is an investment that will do more to showcase your style than any other single element in your home. We’ll put our expertise at your fingertips, inspiring you to bring your vision to life. Simply, beautiful floors.
- Why Choose Hardwood?
-
Wood gives your home a natural feeling. Warm, elegant, comfortable, even forgiving. It can be defined by color and grain, making a stronger statement, or generously neutral, allowing the other design elements of your home to shine. And it’s elemental, like bringing the beauty and power of nature inside. Dependable and long-lasting, a wood floor becomes a member of the family. Best of all, it’s available in a range of price points to fit your budget.

Features
- Species
Some trees have bold grain patterns, such as oak, and are associated with an informal or a country look. Others, such as maple and birch, have a subtle, more refined grain and tend to be found in a more traditional setting.
- Shade Variation
Darker tones can give you a more formal or traditional feel, while lighter tones complete the more casual room. Or you can think even more creatively. The shade of your floor can also be inspired by a color of fabric, a piece of art, or a beautiful countertop.
- Gloss Level
The gloss level refers to the finish and visual sheen of the product. It ranges from a smooth, soft satin to a crisp and glassy, high gloss.
- Edge Profile
The edge style of the wood floor you choose does matter. Square edge boards fit flush against each other for a smooth, elegant feel. A full bevel or micro bevel edge creates an angled effect with depth and dimension.
- Board Width
Hardwood comes in varying widths from 2 1/4" all the way up to 5" or even wider. These widths can convey either a sophisticated or a casual look and can coordinate with whatever décor you choose for your room.
- Board Thickness
All Carpet One® Floor & Home floors are created from the finest materials and are engineered to last. Look for our Titanium and Platinum labeled floors, which are among the thickest and strongest in the industry and carry our highest level warranties.
- Grade Level
